The Next Generation of Lighting Designers : Learn2Light.com

Launched in October 2007, learn2light.com acts as a portal to universities and colleges offering programs in lighting design.

The IALD Education Trust developed learn2light.com as a recruiting campaign capitalizing on social networking and Web 2.0 advancements to inform students about the lighting design education. The site has an overview of the schools that offer programs in architectural lighting design, lighting engineering or lighting science.

Posters and collateral material have been distributed to universities on an international level, directing those interested to visit the learn2light.com website.

Upcoming activities will include an increased focus on blogs and social community building, while also providing students with opportunities for communication and discovery.

FIND A LIGHTING PROGRAM : SEARCH HELP

IALD Education Trust’s Find a Lighting Program feature includes four search options:

  • School, Region and Program Type can be searched using the drop-down menus.
  • To search by keyword, type in any word or phrase of interest (example: program’s name, company name, project name, zip code). The search will yield any profiles that include the keyword you’ve used, or will yield no results if your keyword is not found exactly as entered.

You can use one field or a combination of fields to locate the desired lighting program. If you are having trouble with the search, or need further assistance, please contact IALD Education Trust at jill@iald.org or by calling +1 312 527 3677.
